🔐 How to unlock Apple Intelligence on Macs in China and the EU? 🔐

Preparation:

  1. Update the system to macOS Sequoia 15.0 or higher
  2. Prepare a US account and switch all accounts to the US region
  3. Download eligibility_util from GitHub: GitHub Link or use my Baidu link if GitHub is blocked: Baidu Link
  4. Using Turbo X VPN, switch the network to the US region.

Unlocking Steps:

  1. With your Mac powered off, press and hold the power button to enter recovery mode.
  2. In recovery mode, disable SIP with csrutil disable.
  3. Add the startup parameter sudo nvram boot-args="amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1" and restart.
  4. Navigate to the downloaded eligibility_util folder and execute ./eligibility_util forceDomainAnswer --domain-name OS_ELIGIBILITY_DOMAIN_GREYMATTER --answer 4.
  5. Now, you should see Apple Intelligence in settings. Remember to switch your language to English (US) to join the waitlist. It takes about 5 minutes to get approved, and then you can start downloading the large model. Once downloaded, you can activate it.
  6. Re-enter recovery mode, re-enable SIP with csrutil enable.
  7. Remove the startup parameter with sudo nvram -d boot-args, and you’re done.
